My name is Amber Diller and I am a freshman at California Polytechnic State University.  I have created this blog as an assignment for my Journalism class.  However, the assignment has given me an opportunity to find out more about something that has always been of great interest to me.  I have a passion for helping people and it is extremely important to me that others are informed about the problems facing members of our community.

Poverty is a growing problem in San Luis Obispo County, and it is something that each member of the community should take part in ending.  This blog will have a number of resources that I hope each reader takes advantage of.
